Production Full Time BARRIE, ON $22.05 - $23.05 CAD per hour
A Production & Assembly Associate is responsible for the accurate and efficient production of components and assembly of finished waste and recycling containers to customer specifications. This role supports both CNC plastic lumber production and modifications within the Production Department and plays a key part in maintaining product quality, safety, and production timelines.
Key Responsibilities and Accountability- Operate CNC machinery to cut plastic lumber components according to programmed specifications and production schedules
- Load and position materials accurately to ensure proper machine setup and alignment
- Monitor machine performance and inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report equipment or quality concerns to the Production Supervisor
- Assemble plastic lumber bins and related products according to the production orders.
- Build & assemble waste and recycling containers to customer specifications
- Safely and effectively use hand power tools including drills, saws, levels and measuring equipment
- Ensure accuracy, quality and completeness of finished products prior to shipment
- Assist with lifting and moving products on the production floor and transporting materials using a pallet jack
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by sweeping, removing scrap material, emptying garbage containers, and keeping walkways clear
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Support general production and warehouse duties as assigned
Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred; manufacturing, wood working, cabinet making and/or construction experience would be considered an asset but not required
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery and tools
Ability to read and follow production orders, measurements, and production specifications
Ability to complete repetitive tasks at times while maintaining attention to detail
Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset
Flexibility and willingness to support multiple production areas as needed
