We are currently looking for an energetic, hard‑working Extrusion Operator to work on our Day shift (Monday to Thursday 6:00 - 16:00) at our Alliston facility.

The following are dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)
- Constant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise
- Involves working around equipment, machinery, and belts
In this role, you will play a critical role by running the Extrusion line, ensure proper materials are used, make adjustments as necessary to produce a quality product. Perform all necessary Q.A. and documentation for Extrusion dept. and release of product.
Duties performed on a rotational basis
- Perform line clearance as needed and perform die changes.
- Perform quality checks and documentation for Extrusion department and release of product.
- Make up boxes with liners, pack tubing in boxes, put fill boxes on skids, identify & strap skids.
- Use of GME to enter shop floor & order raw materials, as necessary.
- Set‑up and make adjustments on machine as necessary to produce a quality product.
- Support the facility LEAN enterprise journey through the use of tools including but not limited to 6S.
Duties performed on a continual or intermittent basis
- Learn, understand and apply thorough quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
- Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles
- Successful completion of High School diploma or GED required (Proof will be requested)
- Fast-paced environment, high pressure
- Experience doing repetitive tasks
- Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment
- Experience in food or manufacturing industry
- Demonstrated good attendance in present position.
