We are seeking an energetic, hard-working extrusion operator to work on the Day shift (Monday to Thursday, 6:00 – 16:00).

Responsibilities and expectations are described below. This role involves operating the extrusion line, ensuring proper materials, adjusting processes as needed to produce a quality product, and performing QA documentation for the Extrusion department.

Responsibilities
- Operate the extrusion line and ensure correct materials are used; make adjustments to produce a quality product.
- Perform line clearance, die changes, and quality checks; document and release product from the extrusion department.
- Assemble and prepare packaging (boxes with liners, pack tubing, label and strap skids) and manage related materials using GME to order raw materials as necessary.
- Set up and adjust machinery to maintain product quality; support Lean initiatives, including 6S.
- Collaborate with team to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Continual and rotational duties
- Apply thorough quality standards, SOPs, and cGMP practices; notify supervisor of safety, quality, or mechanical discrepancies and take appropriate action.
- Maintain a clean work area using 6S principles and sustain compliance with GMP requirements.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required (proof may be requested).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; experience with repetitive tasks.
- Manufacturing/Quality experience in a GMP environment; experience in food or manufacturing industries is a plus.
- Demonstrated good attendance, performance, and attitude; ability to work overtime as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues; able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience documenting data per applicable guidelines; ability to comprehend Baxter specifications and SOPs and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Equipment experience:
Extruder, trolleys, walkies, gauges, cutter, coiler, and computer tools.
Compensation
Pay rate: $29.70 per hour. Eligible for shift premium on eligible hours. Details discussed with the recruiter during interviews.
