Job Summary & Requirements
As a key member of the Hudson Regional Cancer Program Leadership Team, the Manager, Oncology Ambulatory Clinics & Diagnostic Assessment Program provides strategic and operational leadership for Regional Ambulatory Cancer Services across North Simcoe Muskoka.
This is a highly complex leadership role within an evolving and specialized cancer care landscape. We are seeking a business-minded, strategic systems thinker who understands the broader healthcare environment, anticipates emerging challenges, and translates vision into clear, measurable action. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong business acumen, fiscal responsibility, and data-informed decision making while balancing quality, access, workforce sustainability, and performance outcomes.
The Manager oversees clerical, nursing, and ambulatory clinic operations, ensuring alignment with best practices, patient and family experience priorities, and Ontario Health – Cancer Care Ontario (OH CCO) quality, access, and performance metrics. This role is accountable for program planning across the cancer continuum—from diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, and palliation—and for optimizing clinic operations, implementing innovative models of care, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
In addition to operational excellence, we are intentionally seeking a positive culture creator — a leader who fosters an environment where people feel valued, engaged, and empowered. This role requires a supportive, compassionate, and emotionally intelligent leader who develops others, builds trust, encourages accountability, and strengthens team resilience. Staff well-being and psychological safety are foundational to delivering exceptional cancer care, and the Manager plays a critical role in cultivating this culture.
