We are seeking to fill a new role of an experienced Inspector to work out of our Barrie office as part of our Water & Wastewater group. An Inspector is responsible for the observation, verification and witnessing of contractors’ construction activities to verify general conformance with design drawings, specifications and municipal/provincial standards. Typical projects include new construction or renovation or expansion of municipal and private water and sewage treatment plants, water booster stations, sewage pumping stations, water reservoirs, intakes, outfalls, and control buildings.
Work will also include liaison with contractors, preparing field inspection reports and assistance with contract administration duties including conducting site meetings and preparing meeting minutes. Travel to Tatham’s various project sites is required.
- Graduate of Engineering Technology or Technician program is preferred
- Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience
- Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of contract drawings, tender documents, design and construction standards
- Field experience working around heavy equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm to work in a team structure and a willingness to help and collaborate with others
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and work independently under minimal supervision
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Expected Hiring Range for This Position $55,000 to $95,000 – Compensation will reflect the unique skills and experience each candidate brings to the role. The posted range serves as a general guideline, and final offers may vary.
