- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients
- Administer anesthetics and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and root canals
- Provide preventive dental care and oral health education to patients
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Abeldent
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry
- Proficient in using dental software systems such as Dentrix for patient management
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, techniques, and best practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Experience or interest in working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
