Our client is a well-established and growing civil construction contractor specializing in site development, municipal infrastructure, and commercial landscape construction. Their expertise spans site preparation, heavy civil works, recreation facilities, hardscaping, and softscaping projects across the Greater Toronto Area.
With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and execution excellence, they deliver projects ranging from municipal parks to large-scale earthworks and civil infrastructure developments.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join their team.
Position OverviewThe Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations across multiple construction projects within the North GTA and surrounding regions. This individual will ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in alignment with company quality standards.
You will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to drive successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day site operations and field staff
- Supervise subcontractors and coordinate trades on-site
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope
- Monitor schedules, manpower, equipment, and materials
- Enforce health & safety compliance and company policies
- Identify and proactively resolve on-site challenges
- Maintain communication with project management and stakeholders
- Conduct site meetings and provide progress updates
- Ensure quality control standards are consistently met
- 5+ years of experience in civil construction, site development, or landscape construction
- Strong knowledge of earthworks, grading, municipal servicing, and infrastructure projects
- Proven experience supervising field crews and subcontractors
- Solid understanding of scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and site plans
- Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of Ontario health & safety regulations
- Post‑secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites across the GTA and surrounding areas
- Experience in heavy civil, municipal parks, recreation facilities, or commercial landscaping is considered a strong asset.
