Health & Safety Coordinator (Construction)
Maple Reinders is looking to add an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to our team in Ontario. The successful candidate will work on exciting infrastructure and wastewater projects to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors and clients.
Job OverviewThe Health & Safety Coordinator will be a key resource in ensuring continued safety and health compliance on Maple Reinders construction projects. Working closely with the Project Management team, the Coordinator supports Health & Safety compliance with Maple Reinders, our clients and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities- Assist with the development of construction safety plans; participate in kickoff and progress meetings; aid in hazard identification.
- Conduct regular site inspections.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new programs or systems to further the organization’s health and safety objectives.
- Support incident investigations, including identifying investigation requirements and leading high‑risk investigations.
- Monitor, audit and support compliance with Project Safety Plans and identify opportunities for improvement of safety performance.
- Actively participate in screening and selection of construction contractors.
- Support emergency response activities for projects.
- Organize and deliver safety training to employees.
- Formal education in Occupational Health and Safety and/or Risk Management.
- 3‑5 years of construction/project safety experience.
- Strong organizational, coaching, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated desire for personal growth.
- Self‑motivated team player with a strong commitment to improving health and safety performance.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Experience with wastewater, water or open‑water projects is considered a strong asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Formal Safety Designation. Minimum of NCSO designation (CRSP preferred).

$75,000 – $95,000 per year (depending on experience)
