Title: Product Specialist

Reports To: Senior Product Manager

Job Purpose

The Product Specialist will be responsible for drafting business cases and business analysis for assigned new products. This role will act as the project management lead on Express and Big Box projects, supporting new initiatives through development and launch readiness across both Grills and Accessories. The incumbent will work on competitive analysis and P&L scenarios and support other departments with respect to product development and product marketing.

The most important aspect of this role is to ensure initiatives are completed properly and on time in alignment with overall departmental and corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • In support of the Stage‑Gate process, assist senior team members in the organization and execution of project management duties, including supporting global product management by working with the EU team to meet product management requirements for Express project initiatives. Ensure all team members understand requirements, timelines, and adherence to the Stage‑Gate process.
  • Be responsible for project document management, including setup, organization, and logging of information into databases.
  • Serve as a liaison between cross‑functional departments for both small and large project management initiatives, including ECOs (Engineering Change Orders), and liaise with the Brand team for Salsify inputs on product details.
  • Support business initiatives related to new product development targets and existing product management activities.
  • Conduct research and manage special projects. Help coordinate pricing and competitive price comparisons. Create professional presentations and, when required, deliver presentations.
  • Support various channel initiatives and the execution of Big Box onboarding processes for new initiatives sold into customers (e.g., preparing for line reviews with mass retailers).
  • Ensure the capture of Voice of Customer (VOC). As part of customer‑driven innovation, this includes creating interview guides, conducting interviews, and capturing and organizing feedback.
Education & Experience
  • Post‑secondary diploma in Business, Marketing/Advertising, Technical Writing, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of business or marketing experience; preference given to individuals with product management experience.
  • Experience working in collaborative, cross‑functional teams; proven experience partnering with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems; knowledge of Adobe Suite is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
