Title:Category Manager, Electric Hearth
Reports ToNational Sales Manager
Job PurposeThe Category Manager, Electric Hearth is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share for electric hearth products across North America. This role focuses on customer development, new customer acquisition, and strategic partnerships (RNCs, Builders, Designers) to position Napoleon as a leader in the electric hearth category. The role identifies new market opportunities, strengthens key relationships, supports brand awareness initiatives, and collaborates cross‑functionally to align products with market demand and long‑term growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Revenue Growth:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for electric hearth products in collaboration with Hearth and Grills Account Management teams. Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and opportunities. - Education and Training:
Develop and deliver educational/awareness programs for dealers, distributors, partners, and internal sales team to enhance product knowledge and promote best practices in electric hearth solutions. Organize training sessions, webinars, and resource materials to ensure stakeholders are well‑informed about product features, installation, and sales strategies. - Market Development:
Conduct market analysis to identify gaps and competitive positioning. Collaborate with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and promotional programs. - Account Management:
Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts in collaboration with Account Managers while ensuring exceptional customer experience. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts aligned with company objectives. - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Work closely with product management, operations, sales and marketing to ensure alignment on product launches and inventory planning. Provide feedback on market needs and product enhancements. - Reporting & Forecasting:
Deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to the Senior Director of Sales. Track KPIs and adjust strategies to meet or exceed goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in Electric Hearth, consumer products or home improvement industries.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and acquiring new customers. Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable strategies. Strategic thinker with a results‑driven mindset. Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving market. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
