Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting with office procedures including reception, clerical, and administrative support within the Department.

• Provides key role in customer service responding to inquiries or requests from staff, service providers and the general public.

• Order and receive medical supplies, equipment and office supplies as required.

• Receive requested station inventory orders and pick required items for each Paramedic base.

• Deliver station inventory orders to each base throughout the County on a weekly basis.

• Optimize stations and main inventory stockrooms, workflow and layouts.

• Rotate supplies that have expiry dates to maximize lifecycle management and reduce spoilage

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with sometimes little notice for requested emergency medical supplies and equipment.

• Collect information and prepare required reports.

• Provide clerical and administrative support for the Department as delegated, including, filing, word processing, data entry.

• Ability to work safely with the proper use of

• Comply with provincial and county occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.

• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be a registered full-time post-secondary student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.

• Word processing, spreadsheet and database application skills preferred.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Varied office experience an asset.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Administrative experience would be an asset

• Criminal Records Check with that is less than six (6) months old at time of hire required
