Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for office procedures including reception and clerical and administrative support for the Administration and Nursing departments.
  • Provides key role in customer service responding to inquiries or requests from residents, families, staff, volunteers, service providers and the general public.
  • Receives all incoming telephone calls, direct messages and visitors providing program information and/or assistance and directs them as appropriate.
  • Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Provide tours for potential/interested applicants.
  • Orders office supplies as required.
  • Collect information and prepare required reports.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Nursing Department as delegated, including processing of mail, filing, word processing, data entry and minute‑taking and distribution.
  • Coordinate the booking of appointments and transporting of residents to other facilities.
  • Comply with provincial and county occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a registered full‑time student during the preceding academic year and be returning to school on a full‑time basis in the next academic year.
  • Word processing, spreadsheet and database application skills preferred.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Varied office experience an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Administrative/Secretarial experience would be an asset.
  • Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is less than six (6) months old at time of hire.
POSITION DETAILS

Anticipated Length:
May - August

Hours per week may fluctuate. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Salary Grade: $18.89 - $22.48

Non Union
