Position SummaryThe RN/LPN Unit Manager is responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting quality outcomes, and maintaining a supportive and professional work environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to resident advocacy.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily nursing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality resident care
- Monitor clinical standards and implement quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies
- Provide direct nursing care as needed to support residents’ medical, physical, and emotional needs
- Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff to promote accountability and professional growth
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care plans
- Uphold the facility’s commitment to dignity, compassion, and excellence in care
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Vermont
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills
