Retail Assistant - North Devon District Hospital

19.5 per week

Shifts:

Monday 10:00-17:00, Saturday 09:30-16:30, Sunday 09:30-16:30

Pay: £12.51 per hour + potential overtime

Are you friendly, reliable, and passionate about great customer service? Join our dedicated Sodexo team at North Devon District Hospital, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional retail and catering services to staff, visitors, and patients.

This is a varied, fast paced role where no two days feel the same. You'll help keep our cafés, retail outlets, and dining areas running smoothly, ensuring every customer receives a warm welcome and high quality service.

• Serve food and beverages with excellent customer care
• Monitor and record food temperatures
• Restock shelves and displays using correct stock rotation
• Support stocktaking and ordering
• Prepare and deliver hospitality functions
• Operate tills and handle cash securely
• Clear tables, wash up, and maintain high standards of cleanliness
• Follow cleaning schedules and COSHH guidelines
• Support new colleagues through the buddy induction programme

• Experience in catering and/or retail environments
• Friendly, approachable manner and strong communication skills
• Pride in personal presentation and customer service
• Awareness of hygiene, infection control, and health & safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and grow within Sodexo

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service

• £12.51 per hour
