CNC Operator / Setter

Near Ilfracombe, North Devon | Up to £17 per hour DOE | 4-Day Week | Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is working with a respected and flexible local engineering business to recruit a CNC Operator / Setter.

This permanent opportunity offers a 4-day working week consisting of four 10-hour day shifts, giving you a consistent 3-day weekend. The company prides itself on being a supportive, family-run business where you are valued as an individual.

Key Duties

Set and operate CNC machinery to produce precision components.

Work with CNC lathes and/or CNC mills.

Operate vertical and horizontal milling machines (3, 4 and 5 axis where applicable).

Operate CNC turning machines (2, 3 and 9 axis where applicable).

Carry out quality inspection checks on finished components.

Use measuring equipment including verniers and micrometres.

Maintain high standards of accuracy, safety and professionalism at all times.

Requirements

Proven CNC machining experience (essential).

Experience operating CNC lathes or CNC mills preferred.

Experience with CNC vertical or horizontal milling (3, 4 or 5 axis) highly desirable.

CNC turning experience (2, 3 or 9 axis) advantageous.

Quality inspection knowledge.

Competent using measuring equipment such as verniers and micrometres.

Dependable, professional and detail-oriented approach.

What We Offer
