As Configuration Manager, you will establish & manage a best practice Configuration Management presence within the company based on the use of ARAS Innovator Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to CM2 compliant process, ensuring data integrity.

Configuration Manager will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role allows for flexible working.

The salary for this role is up to £60k, depending on experience.

What youll be doing
  • Being a key stakeholder in the rollout of ARAS Innovator PLM & data input into ERP establishing processes and managing CM best practices including the publication of CM Metrics.
  • Establish & Manage the Configuration Management Team, providing a Configuration Management service to the business to support ISO 9001 / 10007 /AS9100, Def Stan 05-57 & other applicable CM standards. Providing guidance & where required conduct Functional & Physical Configuration Audits to ensure products adhere to their released requirements along with Writing Project / Product specific Configuration Management Plans upon request.
  • Overall responsibility for the release of documentation, BoM, Part & change data in PLM & its transition to ERP to meet business commitments to agreed SLAs, Managing the Deviation & Concession process & incorporation into change where required to agreed SLAs

The skills you need
  • Degree, HND or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (CM2 accreditation would be desirable)
  • Proven experience within Configuration Management ideally within the defence sector
  • Experience of ARAS innovator PLM is desirable or other equivalent PLM system; (training can be provided)
  • Proven ability to manage a team
  • Proven ability to communicate at all levels with a methodical approach to your work with attention to detail
  • Comprehensive understanding of the electronic manufacturing product lifecycle
  • Good understanding of ERP systems
