Monday–Thursday | 06:00am – 16:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a well-established precision manufacturing operation based in North Devon. This is a temp-to-perm role, offering long-term stability, excellent working hours, and the chance to work on high-precision components within a quality-driven environment.

The Role You will be responsible for the programming, setting, and operation of CNC milling machines, producing complex components to tight tolerances and exacting standards.

• Program, set, and run 3-axis CNC Bridgeport VMC machines, including use of a 4th axis unit
• Work primarily with Heidenhain controls (experience preferred), with strong CNC programming skills essential
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, including a solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Produce components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
• Use a wide range of precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques
• Interpret and work from CMM and inspection data
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to minimise downtime
• Set CNC machines and support semi-skilled operators to ensure accurate and consistent production
• Maintain compliance with quality standards

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
• Strong CNC programming, setting, and operating experience
• Confident working independently and as part of a production team
• Experience machining castings would be an advantage
• A quality-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
