AboutThe Role
This role liaises with IBP Operations Planning, Production, Supply Chain and stakeholders to generate an agreed near‑term production plan that maximises capacity utilisation and labour effectiveness, supporting time‑phased work order generation. The position is based at our Barnstaple site and requires full‑time onsite presence.
SalaryUp to £36,000, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Work with peers to develop and maintain production schedules that deliver on‑time, on‑cost, on‑quality and maximise capacity utilisation.
- Monitor MRP action lists to ensure accuracy to plan.
- Set lead times for the product portfolio in liaison with Production.
- Maintain inventory parameters within AccSC (ROP, batch size, safety stock, etc.) to balance inventory with OTOCOQ.
- Identify bottlenecks early with Production and adjust schedules to optimise work centres and routings.
- Prepare route sheets and work orders, including multi‑operation sub‑contract processing where required.
- Maintain visual management of performance against schedule and KPIs.
- Liaise with stakeholders on engineering change requests, review and communicate the impact on schedules, and maintain effectivity dates in AccSC.
- Provide progress/status updates to Delivery PMs as required.
- Experience in material and production planning, comfortable using various tools and processes.
- Experience of ERP in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of product life cycles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player who can work autonomously, methodical, accurate and meet deadlines.
- Engineering background (NVQ3, ONC or equivalent) desirable.
