Provide an efficient maintenance service carrying out day to day semi‑skilled work in the planned preventative maintenance and repair of the equipment and fixtures maintained by the Facilities Department.
As part of the maintenance team, the post holder will support the provision of a high‑quality, flexible, proactive customer‑orientated service. The post holder will ensure that the work they carry out is done effectively so that patients, staff and visitors are provided with a clean, safe and pleasant environment suitable for the Trust and the service it delivers.

The Maintenance Assistant role is critical within the estates and facilities team in supporting the Trust with its assurance and compliance. Please see the attached Job Description for further details.
The post holder in all cases must comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, which include Legionella, asbestos and Permit‑to‑Work policies and procedures, for example, in a professional manner.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 08:00‑16:00

Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2026‑7 rates, inclusive of a 3.3% pay award implemented from April 2026. If you join before this date, remuneration will be based on the 2025‑6 pay bandings (Pay scales for 2025/26 | NHS Employers).
