We are pleased to advertise this band 7 vacancy within the Arrhythmia team in North Devon for a competent and experienced Arrhythmia Specialist Nurse to join our small and friendly team. The post holder will manage patients with arrhythmias with support of the wider team and consultants; implant loop recorders and help run the nurse-led elective DC cardioversion lists.

The successful applicant should be a registered nurse with extensive post-registration experience in cardiology and should also ideally have worked within the arrhythmia setting and have a robust knowledge in this field. They should already possess a qualification in non-medical prescribing and have undertaken a master's module in the "Investigation and Management of Arrhythmias and Blackouts" or be willing to work towards these important qualifications as part of their development within this post.
For candidates that do not fully meet the essential criteria for the post, we would consider appointing as a band 6 developmental post with the expectation that a set training plan would be completed within an agreed time. The post holder would then transition to band 7 once fully meeting the requirements of the role.
The essential criteria for the band 6 developmental role are:
