Physical Intervention Trainer

To facilitate, assist and provide with the planning, preparation and delivery of staff training programmes ranging from the use of de‑escalation techniques through to physical intervention techniques. To raise the profile of the use of appropriate techniques in managing challenging behavioural situations and the use of restraint techniques in the Trust. To assist with necessary data collection, evaluation and course administration of these training programmes and also any clerical duties associated with workforce and statutory requirements.
To work closely with and support the operational security team.

Job responsibilities- Plan, prepare and deliver staff training programmes on de‑escalation techniques, physical intervention techniques and restraint techniques.
- Raise the profile of appropriate techniques in managing challenging behavioural situations.
- Assist with data collection, evaluation and course administration of training programmes.
- Perform clerical duties associated with workforce and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with and support the operational security team.
- GSA Accredited Grade A Tutor (preferred but not essential; training will be provided).
- Experience working in clinical settings to ensure service‑user focused standards.
- Valid driving licence.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 / 08:30 – 16:30
