The Role

We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to provide vital support to our busy Finance Team. You’ll play a key part in maintaining our financial processes, supporting colleagues, and ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and register purchase ledger invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and support with invoice queries.
  • Assist with ensuring purchase orders and invoices meet NDH financial regulations.
  • Support income accounting processes, including posting electronic and manual receipts, weekly BACS processing, and payment card administration.
  • Raise and post sundry debtor invoices, maintain control accounts, and support debt recovery processes in line with customer service standards.
  • Download daily bank transactions and assist with petty cash management.
  • Support the preparation of cash and cheque banking.
  • Provide cover for Finance team colleagues during periods of absence.
About You
  • You will have 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • You will have experience in a financial environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to process data accurately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • A positive, customer‑focused approach and strong teamwork skills.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
