Locum Consultant In Histopathology​/Pathology Consultant Northern Devon

🚨🚨This role offers a highly competitive rate of £110 – £125 per hour (PAYE) 🚨🚨

🚨🚨The role also includes participation in the coronial and hospital autopsy service.🚨🚨

🚨🚨Most major aspects of pathology are undertaken with the exception of Neuropathology, Bone Tumour Pathology and Paediatric Pathology🚨🚨

In this pivotal role, you will utilise some of the country’s most advanced medical equipment to diagnose, treat, and prevent a range of diseases. Your expertise will be central to studying tissue and fluid samples, making critical diagnoses, and building effective treatment plans that directly impact patient outcomes.

• Provide expert diagnostic services, determining and interpreting a range of tests to guide patient treatment plans.
• Communicate complex clinical information clearly and compassionately to patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Lead and work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, supervising junior medical staff and contributing to the smooth running of the Pathology department.
• Conduct ward rounds and outpatient clinics, delivering high-standard clinical care.
• Engage in ongoing research and professional development to remain at the forefront of pathological sciences.

• Full GMC registration.
• Significant, relevant experience at Consultant level, or references demonstrating readiness to step up.
