North Devon Homes (NDH) is a registered charity providing affordable homes for people who need them. We are a housing the North Devon area and have over 3,300 homes providing accommodation to over 10,000 customers.

We’re seeking a Customer Service Adviser to act as the first point of contact for our customers, ensuring queries are dealt with positively, professionally, and helpfully. You will resolve issues or signpost customers to specialist teams and partner agencies, giving informed guidance on a variety of NDH services to include repairs, rent enquiries, anti‑social behaviour queries and other housing‑related matters. No two calls or days are the same!

Responsibilities
  • Offer advice and practical solutions to customers with strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner.
  • Deal tactfully with a wide range of customers, remaining empathetic, calm and courteous.
  • Use high diplomacy skills to negotiate with internal and external groups, contributing to team goals.
  • Work in an office‑based role and handle varied customer contacts via phone, in‑person, or email.
Requirements
  • Strong customer service experience or equivalent, with a proven ability to handle challenging situations.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn a variety of systems quickly.
  • Resilient under pressure, able to maintain a cool head and turn tricky situations into positive outcomes.
  • Basic DBS check required.
