Ready to step up and run a busy workshop? We're looking for a hands-on Workshop Controller with strong technical ability and natural leadership to take charge of day-to-day operations in a fast-paced municipal fleet environment.

• Full-time, Monday-Friday role (45 hours per week)

• Lead from the front as the senior technician while controlling daily workshop activity
• Plan workloads, schedule servicing and MOTs, and keep vehicles on the road
• Diagnose, maintain and repair a mixed fleet of light and heavy vehicles
• Control job cards, paperwork, parts ordering and stock levels
• Provide technical support to the team and maintain high quality standards
• Liaise confidently with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders
• Manage rotas, holidays and standby cover to ensure full workshop coverage

• Proven experience in an HGV or municipal workshop environment
• Strong people management and organisational skills
• Confident with diagnostics, fleet maintenance and compliance
• Comfortable using vehicle management systems and completing accurate paperwork
• HGV Category C licence preferred
• Apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent in automotive engineering (CPC an advantage)
