Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Transport Planner / Class 2 Driver / Sales located in Wombwell, Barnsley. The job will require you to be responsible for receiving incoming calls, planning and managing transportation routes, overseeing daily operations booking in jobs and ensuring the efficient management of transportation logistics. This role involves some driving responsibilities to cover annual leave or as and when the business requires.
You will be required to generate new business opportunities, manage the existing customer accounts and promote our AdBlue products and services. We are looking for someone competent with managing company standards and delivery schedules. You will be required to be the main person of contact for new and existing customers through the main phone line. Strong communication with the team and external partners is essential for the smooth operation of transport activities.
Qualifications
- Transportation Planning and Transport Modelling skills
- Operations Management and Transportation Management experience
- Generating new sale leads
- Valid Class 2 driving license
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience in the logistics industry is a plus
