We are currently recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a busy and growing manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional who thrives in a hands-on production environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring manufactured products consistently meet established quality standards, customer specifications, and internal procedures. Working closely with production teams, you will conduct inspections, monitor testing results, and proactively identify trends or defects to prevent quality issues.
You will support shift supervisors with compliance to quality plans, investigate out-of-specification results, and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required. The role also involves managing non-conforming products, participating in plant trials, and maintaining accurate, legible quality records.
In addition, you will assist the QA Manager with external audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality controls and testing procedures. Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping within the manufacturing area will also form part of your responsibilities.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and product testing in line with quality standards
Monitor and record test results, identifying trends and potential defects
Investigate quality issues and out-of-specification results
Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Control and manage non-conforming materials and finished products
Support production teams to ensure adherence to quality plans
Assist with plant trials and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation and quality records
Support external audits and compliance activities
Promote safe working practices and maintain housekeeping standards
About You
Previous experience in a manufacturing quality role
Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Basic IT literacy
GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) or above in Maths and English
