Permanent Veterinary Surgeon – Barnsley

• Working Days: 4–5 days per week, including 1 in 3 Saturdays

  Weekdays 8:30 am–6:00 pm;
  Saturdays 8:30 am–12:00 pm

  Consultations, routine and emergency soft tissue surgery, case work-ups, and involvement in second opinions

• The client is seeking a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-managed independent small animal practice.
• The role will suit a clinician who values early diagnosis, sound case work-ups, and clear client communication.
• The successful candidate will deliver a mix of consultations and surgery, contribute to second-opinion cases, and participate in a balanced surgical rota. Confidence with sole charge will be required after an induction period.
• The practice offers 15-minute consults, protected same-day and emergency slots, and no on call.
• Professional development is supported with fully funded CPD, certificate funding where relevant, and in-house training on all equipment. The salary is dependent on experience.
