Logistics Controller​/FLT

Guaranteed starting salary of £28,152 per annum, with structured overtime at premium rates and a weekly bonus. The role is permanent, with ongoing progression and regular overtime at enhanced rates, plus additional monthly bonuses.

An exciting opportunity for Logistics Controllers at Niftylift Limited, a leading manufacturer of mobile elevated work platforms based in Hoyland, Barnsley. The Logistics Controller will accurately stock control and safely handle materials (raw material, engineered parts, consumables, and finished products) through goods‑in, stores, line feeding, issuing / kitting parts, yard area (delivery / storage / collection), chassis pre‑assembly, and marshalling. They will also manage spares / warranty and stores development.

• Efficient organisation and control of allocated logistics tasks and operations, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards, flexibility and development of skills through the complete stock control process. Includes training of new team members.
• Full adherence to departmental and ISO 45001 procedures, maintaining a total quality focus throughout all direct and indirect stages of the stores process to deliver a quality product aligned to customer specifications.
• Maintaining accurate information on the company's documentation and computerised manufacturing system, ensuring accurate recording of quantities, part identification and location. Monitoring, controlling and requisitioning consumables held in the stores areas.
• Performing stock takes and cycle checks as per company procedures. Identifying and highlighting inaccuracies, making stock adjustments, and preventing recurrence.
• Safe operation and daily maintenance of the company's material handling and forklift trucks.
• Working as a team to achieve customer quality, delivery, cost and innovation requirements, ensuring company procedures are complied with.

• Experience in material handling.
• Use of forklift truck (Flexi/Bendi), counterbalance preferable; must be trained/refreshed within the last 3 years.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels and with customers; high standard of spoken and written English.

Day shift – 07:30–16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:30–13:30 Friday.

Guaranteed starting rate of £28,152 per annum.

Hourly rate £12.41 for 40 basic hours per week + weekly bonus guaranteed minimum of £45.

Overtime paid at 1.5 for first 4 hours and 2.0 thereafter.
