Manufacturing NPI Engineer

We are working with a leading, well-established manufacturing business in Barnsley who are seeking an experienced NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team.

The Role

As the Manufacturing NPI Engineer
, you will:

• Lead NPI projects from initial concept through to full-scale manufacturing.
• Liaise closely with design, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth product launches.
• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for new products.
• Produce and maintain detailed process documentation, including PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and quality enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience in an NPI or manufacturing engineering role within a production environment.
• Understands lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Is confident in process development, tooling specification, and production readiness.
• Has excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ideally holds a relevant engineering qualification (HNC/Degree or equivalent).
