The Programme Office manages, drives and supports the delivery of the Children’s Services Improvement Programme. As a Project Manager you will lead and drive both small and large projects across the Programme, focusing mainly on Looked After Children Sufficiency. You will manage improvement delivery plans, coordinate reporting through governance structures, and drive service improvement across Children’s Services.
Responsibilities- Lead and deliver projects on time, within scope and to quality standards.
- Coordinate project governance, reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Work across Children’s Social Care, Commissioning and wider Council services.
- Support the development of knowledge and experience across Children’s Services.
- Drive improvement and build relationships with managers, internal colleagues and partners.
- Level 6 qualification and relevant programme or project management training.
- Strong communication, negotiation, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively and report to key work streams.
- Experience in children’s services and a project or programme management qualification is helpful but not essential.
- Positive attitude, independence, teamwork and strong service values.
