Overview

Site Manager - Barnsley
, JDR Group is recruiting on behalf of the local authority in South Yorkshire. This is a 3-month contract with the potential to extend. £20.29 per hour
, paid weekly.
Full time - 37 hours per week
. We are seeking an experienced manager to lead a small team to ensure the best outcomes, with a background in a visitor attraction or visitor-focused location and knowledge of the heritage sector.

Location:

Barnsley. Role status: 3-month fixed term contract, potential to extend. Interviews are being arranged as applications are received.

• Responsible for the overall day to day running of the site
• Opening and closing of the buildings
• Carrying out site checks and maintaining health and safety documentation
• Maintenance of internal facilities and asset teams
• Managing and supporting site teams including retail and income management alongside the commercial team
• Working collaboratively with a range of departments

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a visitor attraction environment
• Awareness of health and safety requirements and legislation
• People person who works well with various teams and individuals
• Problem solving skills and the ability to confidently deal with unexpected issues on site
• Excellent communication skills
• Commercial awareness is advantageous

Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates must be able to pass a DBS and referencing checks.
