Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the hospital social work team
* Supervise and manage social work staff
* Attend daily multidisciplinary meetings with health partners
* Support safe, timely discharges across hospital pathways
* Manage a small caseload alongside line management duties
* Complete Care Act, Mental Capacity, and Best Interest Assessments as required
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)
* Proven adults social work hospital experience
* Experience supervising and managing social work staff
* Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Human Rights Act 1998
* Experience working with complex needs (e.g. substance misuse, homelessness, self-neglect)
* Confident decision-maker with strong risk management skills
* Good IT skills, including Liquid Logic and Excel
