Registered General Nurse (RGN)

Elderly / EMI Nursing Home

South Yorkshire / Barnsley Area

£20.80 per hour | Paid Breaks | 36 hours per week

We are recruiting a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with experience in elderly and dementia (EMI) care to join a friendly, well‑established 30‑bed nursing home located close to the Barnsley area in Yorkshire.

This is a permanent role offering long day shifts (7am–7pm), paid breaks, and a supportive working environment with a stable staff team.

• Providing high‑quality nursing care to residents with complex needs and dementia
• Leading and supervising care staff on shift
• Administering medication safely and in line with NMC guidelines
• Developing and reviewing person‑centred care plans
• Carrying out clinical assessments and responding to changes in residents’ conditions
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Liaising with GPs, families, and other healthcare professionals
• Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and best practice

• Valid NMC registration (RGN)
• Previous experience in a nursing home or elderly care setting
• Strong medication management and MAR chart knowledge
• Experience with:
• Dementia / EMI care
• Pressure area care and wound management
• Catheter care
• PEG feeding (desirable)
• End‑of‑life / palliative care
• Confident clinical decision‑making and leadership skills
• A compassionate, patient‑centred approach

• £20.80 per hour
