You will be part of a small survey team, with responsibilities including:
- Conducting topographical surveys, data collection, and coordination
- Using equipment such as laser scanners and drones
- Liaising with technicians
- Working on projects across civil engineering sectors like Network Rail and the Environment Agency
- Attending meetings and site visits with clients
Your specific responsibilities will include:
- Performing drone surveys (LiDAR and photogrammetry)
- Operating static terrestrial scanners for point cloud data collection
- Processing and cleaning datasets using Real Works, Autodesk ReCap, or similar
- Producing high-quality topographical drawings and 3D models in N4CE
- Planning and logistics for survey operations
- Meeting project deadlines and budgets
- Maintaining strict quality standards and adhering to ISO 9001 and 19650
- Communicating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues
- 2–5 years’ experience in land and structural surveying
- Proficient in N4CE
- Familiar with Real Works and/or Autodesk Re Cap
- Comfortable working with point cloud data
- Good understanding of coordinate systems and georeferencing
- Strong attention to detail and CAD standards
- UK driving license and willingness to travel
- Experience with drone operations and GVC certification (training provided if needed)
- Experience with BIM workflows
- Exposure to railway or infrastructure projects
