Job Description

We’re looking for a Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStruct

E)
ready to take the lead onsome of the UK’s most technically complex and high-risk infrastructure projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into an Associate-level leadership position , where you’llshape design strategies, guide multi-disciplinary teams, and drive business growth.

Your role will include:

• Acting as technical lead on major and high-risk civil/structural projects

• Overseeing entire design teams and coordinating inputs across disciplines

• Conducting strategic planning of project delivery, resources, and client engagement

• Leading bids, proposals, and business development activity across sectors

• Assuming formal leadership roles such as CRE (Contractor's Responsible Engineer)

• Supporting or being introduced to commercial responsibilities, including project profitability

• Developing and mentoring engineers and technical staff

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IStruct

E or ICE

• Strong background in infrastructure, energy, or rail projects

• Proven experience in team leadership, client-facing roles, and cross-discipline coordination

• Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to strategic growth initiatives

• Familiarity with BIM Level 2 workflows and ISO 19650 compliance is preferred

• Hybrid working: 3 days in office (Barnsley), 2 days remote

• 20 days holiday + bank holidays +
Christmas Shutdown (no holiday deduction)
