Health Safety Environment Advisor

Job Description

An established UK-based manufacturing business is seeking a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Officer / Adviser to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone earlier in their HSE career who is keen to develop in a practical, hands-on role within a busy shop-floor environment.

This position has been created following a recent consultant-led HSE analysis project. The successful candidate will play a key role in addressing identified gaps, implementing practical solutions, and embedding strong HSE practices across the operation.

You will be highly visible on the shop floor, working closely with production teams and management to ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are not only met, but continuously improved.

• Implement actions arising from the recent HSE gap analysis
• Provide hands-on HSE support at shop-floor level
• Develop, review, and maintain accurate HSE documentation, including:
• Risk assessments
• SOPs
• Training records and matrices
• Support waste management activities and ensure compliance with relevant permits
• Identify practical, workable solutions to HSE challenges (not just highlight issues)
• Assist in building robust systems with a view to achieving:
