We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Culinary Trainer who will be responsible for providing culinary support to schools in Durham. This support will include mobilising new units, delivering training to culinary teams, monitoring and maintaining culinary standards, ensuring compliance with Compass procedures and systems.

Role Responsibilities- Plan, organise, and direct the preparation and cooking of food ensuring the company's reputation for quality is always enhanced.
- Support the mobilisation of new units.
- Deliver first-class training to all staff.
- Possess an exceptional drive for quality.
- Drive school meal uptake, an understanding and monitoring of PPM.
- Deliver all aspects of food safety, health & safety and COSHH.
- Implement and maintain food monitoring procedures to facilitate budgetary control and monitor all costs against agreed budgets.
- Experience in a culinary/catering role within the education environment.
- Passion for great food and excellent service delivery.
- Outstanding culinary skills and ability to motivate and develop chefs at all levels.
- Experience in training culinary skills and delivering presentations confidently and accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Financial acumen regarding food costings and margin management.
- Analytical skills to evaluate information.
- Ability to use planning processes to deliver consistent results.
- Initiative-driven work style within a framework.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
