Science Teacher, Special Education Teacher

Reeson Education are recruiting a skilled Science Teacher for a well-established secondary school in Barnsley (S75). This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who can deliver engaging and practical Science lessons while maintaining strong classroom management and promoting academic achievement.
About the Role:As a Science Teacher
, you will deliver structured and stimulating lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable). You will play a key role in developing pupils' scientific understanding, practical investigation skills, and analytical thinking across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Curriculum Delivery:
Deliver high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination requirements. - Practical Application:
Plan and supervise safe and effective practical experiments that enhance pupils' scientific knowledge and engagement. - Classroom Management:
Maintain clear routines, expectations, and a focused learning environment. - Progress Monitoring:
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic outcomes. - Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues, senior leaders, and parents to support pupil achievement.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics (specialism desirable).
- Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
- Competitive daily rate of £150-£230, depending on experience.
