About the RoleAs an English Teacher you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, and communication skills. You will create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports progress and achievement.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver English lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Assess, track, and support student progress
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Support pupils with targeted interventions and exam preparation
- Work collaboratively with department staff
- Qualified teacher or strong subject specialist in English (QTS preferred)
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confident, organised, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Daily pay up to £220
- Flexible roles to suit your availability
- Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant

- Experience across a range of Barnsley schools
