Academic Appointments Ltd is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnsley, to recruit a dedicated EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
Do you have a passion for helping young children learn, explore, and grow? We’re seeking an experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage team in Barnsley. In this role, you’ll support our youngest learners at the very start of their educational journey, helping them feel secure, confident, and excited about learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with special educational needs
• Supporting children’s learning and development in the classroom and during interventions
• Implementing tailored strategies and resources
• Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Working closely with SENCOs, class teachers, and external professionals where required

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children up to 5 years old
• Patience, kindness, and resilience
• Knowledge of phonics programmes, e.g., Read Write Inc
• Understanding of child development and early years learning
• A proactive, flexible approach and genuine enthusiasm for early years education
