Ribble Recruitment is assisting a well-established insurance brokerage with the appointment of an Accounts Handler - Personal Lines. Ribble Recruitment is managing candidate sourcing, screening, and the initial stages of the recruitment process.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Lines professional to join a growing business where you will play a key role in supporting clients and ensuring their insurance needs are met through high-quality service and technical expertise.
The RoleYou will act as a key point of contact for clients, working closely with underwriters and internal colleagues to deliver tailored insurance solutions. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of personal lines insurance products and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Client Relationship Management- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for enquiries and requests
- Understand clients' insurance needs and provide appropriate advice and solutions
- Handle policy enquiries, mid-term adjustments, and renewals
- Ensure accuracy of policy documentation, endorsements, and certificates of insurance
- Liaise with underwriters to negotiate and secure suitable coverage terms
- Analyse client risk profiles to identify gaps and opportunities for improved coverage
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes
- Ensure policies comply with industry regulations and contractual obligations
- Keep clients informed of regulatory changes and their potential impact
- Maintain accurate and well‑organised electronic client files
- Prepare and issue reports relating to clients' insurance portfolios
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling appropriate insurance products
- Support wider business growth initiatives alongside colleagues
- Maintain strong knowledge of insurance products and best practice
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Conduct peer quality checks on documentation to minimise errors and improve efficiency
- Undertake other reasonable duties as required to meet business needs
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and industry regulations
- Proven experience within Personal Lines insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proficiency in Acturis and Microsoft Office
