SEN 1:1 Support Assistant
Protocol Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Barnet, who are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Support Assistant to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a genuine difference every single day.
About the RoleYou will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence and develop positive relationships within the classroom.
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will follow individual targets, adapt learning activities where needed and provide consistent academic and emotional support throughout the school day.
This role would suit someone patient, resilient and proactive, who understands that progress looks different for every child and celebrates the small wins along the way.
What We’re Looking For- Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary setting
- Confidence working with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH or speech and language difficulties
- A calm, nurturing and positive approach
- Ability to follow EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused mindset
- A genuine commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
