Complete Classroom Services is seeking a compassionate, proactive, and highly organised School Welfare Officer to join a school we are working with. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting student wellbeing, supporting attendance, and working closely with pupils, families, and external agencies to ensure every child is safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and support pupil attendance, punctuality, and wellbeing
* Work with students experiencing social, emotional, or pastoral difficulties
* Liaise with parents/carers to address welfare and attendance concerns
* Support safeguarding procedures in line with school policies and statutory guidance
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and referrals where required
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, senior leaders, and external professionals
* Provide early intervention and signposting to appropriate support services
Essential Requirements:
* First Aid qualification
* Previous experience in a school-based role
* Strong working knowledge of SIMS
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Experience working with children or young people in an educational, or welfare setting
* A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and families
* Confidence in working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
