Key Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-hour lessons once a week for 8 weeks.
- Tailor lessons to the student's needs, focusing on both language and literature aspects of the GCSE curriculum.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that takes into account the student's SEMH needs.
- Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Engage with parents or guardians to keep them informed of progress and discuss any areas for development.
- Qualified Teacher or experienced tutor with a strong background in teaching GCSE English.
- Experience working with students who have SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
- A DBS check (on the Update Service) or willingness to undergo one.
