Band 3 Outpatient Front of House Receptionist
? To provide a courteous reception service to patients and clinicians in line with office procedures, contributing to the overall efficient and effective running of designated outpatient clinics.? To work closely with Supervisor, nursing and medical staff to ensure that anyissues in clinic are raised immediately to maintain an excellent level of service to patients.? The post-holder will work as part of the Outpatient's team, ensuring and efficient,high quality and timely service is provided.
This includes providing a welcoming and professional service to patients? To manage the booking of designated new & follow up clinics and ensure thatthese are booked efficiently and that any booking issues are raised immediately with supervisor , Service and medical staff to ensure patient care is not compromised.
We are looking for an Out-patient Front of House Receptionist to support Out-patient department. The successful candidate will be expected to provide a courteous reception service to patients and clinicians, work closely with nursing and medical staff, manage the booking of designated follow up appointments and work effectively as part of the out-patient team.
The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven experience of working in with the public in an administrative position. You will be expected to give excellent customer care in a busy and high pressured working environment, working across multiple out-patient clinic locations.
You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy. Working shifts are 8am- 4pm and 10am-6pm - Monday to Friday.

Person Specification Royal Free World Class Values- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values
- Good general education, including GCSE English grade "C" or above, or equivalent
- Significant experience in a role which combines administration and working with the public, preferably in the NHS or similar.
- Knowledge / experience of computer systems
- Excellent customer care skills, including ability to use judgement, tact & diplomacy
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience of prioritising own workload in a highly pressured working environment
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality and the Data Protection Act
- Ability to successfully manage and resolve difficult situations
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Effective interpersonal skills, to liaise and negotiate with people/staff at all levels
