The City of Barnesville is seeking a qualified Finance Director to oversee municipal accounting, budgeting, auditing, and financial operations. This position provides financial leadership and ensures compliance with GAAP, GASB standards, and Minnesota statutes.
Key Responsibilities- Financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination.
- Oversight of accounting, payroll, benefits, cash management, and internal controls.
- Management of investments, debt, and long-term financial planning.
- Financial analysis and reporting to the City Administrator and City Council.
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
- Governmental, municipal, or private accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- CPA, CPFO, or significant Minnesota municipal finance experience.
