Field Sales Representative

Location: Barking

A food manufacturing company is seeking a Field Sales Representative to join their team covering London based routes working 09.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday.  

As the Field Sales Representative you will:

Actively generate new business through cold calling, lead sourcing, and prospecting within your assigned territory.
Drive a company-owned van to visit customers, delivering products while upselling and cross-selling to maximise order value.
Build strong relationships with existing clients, identifying growth opportunities and increasing sales volumes.
Present and demonstrate products effectively and highlighting key benefits and promotions.
Identify new prospect customers and close deals to achieve monthly sales targets.
Maintain detailed records of sales calls, lead activity, and customer conversations using sales software or a CRM.
Monitor new market trends, new product opportunities, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for expansion.
Keep the delivery van organised, clean, and well-maintained, reporting issues promptly.

We are looking for a Field Sales Representative with:

Proven experience in sales, ideally in a field-based or route sales environment.
Strong cold-calling and lead-generation skills with the confidence to approach new prospects.
Excellent verbal communication, persuasion, and negotiation abilities.
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Customer-focused approach with the ability to build trust quickly.
Target-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
Strong organisational skills with accurate record-keeping abilities.

In return you will receive a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus commission and 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
