Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Maintenance
This is an onsite position based at our Bardstown Bottling Plant.
Schedule:
Sunday-Friday 11:00pm - 7am
The Role Is
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for directly supervising and coordinating the activities of maintenance mechanics and industrial maintenance technicians, including both journeymen and apprentices at the Bardstown Bottling facility.
How You Will Spend Your Time?- Manages the performance of all bargaining unit maintenance personnel assigned to the shift and ensures that all work is performed in a safe manner.
- Evaluates and enhances the site’s PM procedures, program and CMMS.
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
- Support and emphasize consistent approaches relating to Key Performance Indicators of productivity, safety, quality and 5S.
- Monitors tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
- Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings.
- Identify, prioritize and provide resources to assist the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager in meeting plant goals and objectives.
- Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results.
- Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
- Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Produce significant technical contributions to process improvement initiatives while participating within a cross-functional team.
- Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Report to upper management on work execution status, system/line reliability issues, concerns, and desires.
- Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical or related trade
- Minimum five (5) years’ job-related experience in industrial maintenance or technical field
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
- Mechanical knowledge – knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Mathematics – knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- High proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Previous experience in the distilled spirits industry or a bottling industry.
