This position is based out of our Bardstown, KY bottling location.

What the Role Is

The Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager will be responsible for driving site initiatives to improve operational, material and equipment efficiencies and deliver cost savings through building capability in manufacturing methodologies with systems and tools. This role will focus on cost savings through CI concepts, project management tools, TPM/lean principles, and methodologies for the Bardstown facility.

How You Will Spend Your Time?
  • Lead and organize and train on CI Activities in the Bardstown facility to meet overall objectives of the Heaven Hill Production System (HHPS).
  • Develops processes and deploys strategic Lean methodologies throughout the site with systems, and tools including Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Problem Solving, Standard Work, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Quick Changeover, FMEA, Green Belt/Black Belt Project, to deliver site OEE and cost savings goals.
  • Drives and supports cost ideations and diagnostics, along with tracking the projects for visibility
  • Provides tracking and regular communication to various plant functions and teams regarding manufacturing reliability progress
  • Integrates system health and project monitoring into current structure to ensure sustainability of improvements
  • Identifies and troubleshoot chronic and minor losses by engaging and collaborating with hourly personnel, supervisors, and across departments.
  • Drives loss reduction using statistical process control, MES data analysis, Six Sigma and other principles.
  • Utilizes systems and tools to deliver a reduction in minor stops and breakdowns
  • Drives restoration to base condition of bottleneck equipment through AM execution (Centerlines, Clean-Inspect-Lubricate, Defect Handling, 5S, Visual Management)
  • Builds capability in the Planned Maintenance COE team to effectively plan, schedule, and execute work; install and sustain the Breakdown Elimination and equipment classification systems
  • Identifies and implements technology improvements
  • Builds capability by developing and executing training for operations, leadership and plant associates on methodologies, systems and tools.
  • Promotes a change of culture within the group/site – especially at the front-line level
  • Project Management and the ability to manage multiple priorities at a time.
  • Ability to manage direct reports, coaching and developing their CI mindset.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading continuous improvement/TPM projects, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in project management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to plan and manage priorities.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage processes
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to lead change and inspire others
